What Kinds Of Football Boots Will We See In The New Year?

Thursday December 16, 2010

The chances are that if you know someone with an interest in football you might have treated them to a brand new pair of football boots for Christmas. But whether you have or not you will be well aware that Christmas means the end of the year is in sight as well.

Every single year we see lots of new brands and models of football boots making their way onto the market. As 2010 gives way to usher in 2011, it makes us wonder which brands and new styles we shall be wearing in 2011. Will there be any major leaps forward in technology or style that 2011 will be remembered for?

If you have a keen eye on all kinds of football boots you will know that names such as Nike and Adidas are just two of the brands that are constantly (or so it seems) releasing new football boots onto the market. In 2011, as in every other year, many people will be watching the big name players to see who is wearing which boots. Just one football player wearing a certain type of boot is all that it takes for lots of other people to jump on the bandwagon and start wearing them.

Of course the most important thing is always to get boots that feel comfortable and perform well during the game. No matter how good they might look it doesn’t say much if they don’t perform well and allow the player to slip and slide at every given opportunity.

It is too early to say which boots and brand we shall be talking about when the New Year arrives. But we shall certainly be watching to see if there are any particular brands that make the headlines more than any other. Nike boots always seem to do well and receive lots of publicity, such as the Nike Mercurial Vapor boots for example. But this is just one pair among many, and no doubt we shall see stories about other new designs coming onto the market in the near future as well.

So regardless of whether you have put any gift wrapped football boots under the tree or not this year, keep an eye out for any new entries onto the market next year as well. The best could yet be to come in this sense.
